“Moran Family of Brands is very proud of all of our franchise owners who have served in the military,” said Peter Baldine, President of Moran Family of Brands. “They are all great examples of how veterans acquire many valuable skills in the military and are able to use them to become successful franchise owners. Veterans Day is a time to recognize their achievements and thank all of them for their service to our country.”
Albert Daniel has owned his Milex Complete Auto Care shop in Frederick, MD for the past 11 years, and added a Milex/Alta Mere co-branded store in nearby Boonsboro, MD in 2015. Albert served six years in the United States Navy from 1989 to 1994. He was stationed on the USS George Washington (CVN 73) in Norfolk, VA and was part of the crew that built the aircraft carrier. As a Petty Officer in the Navy, Daniel worked in the aircraft support equipment division on the flight deck of the USS George Washington, handling the maintenance and repairs of jets on the ship.
Daniel used the technical skills he acquired in the Navy to begin a career working on cars. He also applied some of the traits he learned in the military such as accountability and leadership to become one of the most successful franchise owners in the Moran system. Daniel currently serves on Moran’s Franchise Advisory Alliance and was named the Milex Franchisee of the Year for the fourth time in 2018.
“My military experience was extremely helpful and prepared me in so many ways,” said Daniel. “You understand the importance of having a strong work ethic and doing whatever it takes to get the job done right. All those things I learned in the military. Veterans Day is a time to reflect and thank all those how have helped ensure our freedom.”
